Urban’s General Contracting provided general contracting services for the HemaTec Homecare Dialysis project, which included custom millwork fabrication and installation, architectural feature elements, casework, ceilings, and restroom accessories. The project required detailed coordination, precise fabrication, and high-quality finish work to meet the functional and aesthetic requirements of a healthcare environment.

A major portion of the project included custom millwork fabrication and installation. Urban’s fabricated and installed custom upper cabinets, base cabinets, wall caps, and slope tops/soffits according to the architectural drawings and project specifications. All millwork was built to fit field conditions and installed level, plumb, and securely fastened. Special attention was given to maintaining consistent finishes, clean lines, and durable construction suitable for a medical facility with high daily use.

Urban’s also completed fabrication and installation of solid surface countertops. The countertops were measured, fabricated to fit the custom cabinetry and work areas, and installed with smooth seams and finished edges. All countertop installations were completed to ensure durability, easy cleaning, and a professional finished appearance appropriate for a healthcare setting.

An architectural accent feature wall was also constructed and installed as part of the project. This feature wall served as a visual focal point within the space and required careful layout, alignment, and installation to match the design intent. Urban’s coordinated materials, layout, and installation to ensure the finished wall met the architectural design and provided a clean, modern appearance.

The scope of work also included installation of acoustical ceiling systems throughout designated areas. Urban’s installed suspended ceiling grid systems and acoustical ceiling tiles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and project drawings. The ceilings were installed to provide sound control, accessibility to mechanical systems, and a clean finished appearance throughout the facility.

Additionally, Urban’s furnished and installed toilet and bath accessories in restroom areas. This included items such as grab bars, paper towel dispensers, toilet paper holders, mirrors, and other required accessories. All accessories were installed securely, level, and in compliance with accessibility requirements and project specifications.

Throughout the HemaTec Homecare Dialysis project, Urban’s coordinated fabrication, delivery, and installation activities to maintain the construction schedule and ensure quality workmanship. The project required close coordination between trades, careful attention to detail, and professional installation standards.
