Urban’s completed the plumbing and concrete scope of work for the build-out of the Kenton Dialysis facility, providing critical infrastructure necessary to support the specialized equipment and operational needs of a dialysis treatment center. The project required careful coordination, precise installation, and adherence to healthcare construction standards to ensure reliability, sanitation, and long-term durability.
The concrete portion of the project included slab modifications, housekeeping pads, trench work, and concrete infill required for new plumbing lines and equipment installation. Urban’s performed saw cutting of existing concrete slabs to allow for underground plumbing installation, followed by excavation and trenching for sanitary lines, water lines, and floor drains. After plumbing installation and inspections were completed, Urban’s backfilled trenches, compacted the material, and placed new concrete to restore the slab to its original elevation and structural integrity. All concrete work was finished to meet flooring installation requirements and maintain smooth transitions throughout the facility.
In addition to slab and trench work, Urban’s installed concrete housekeeping pads for dialysis equipment and mechanical equipment where required. These pads were formed, poured, and finished to specified dimensions and elevations to support sensitive medical equipment and ensure proper operation and stability. Care was taken to ensure all pads were level, square, and properly cured before equipment installation.
The plumbing portion of the project was a critical component of the dialysis facility build-out due to the specialized water supply and drainage requirements associated with dialysis treatment equipment. Urban’s installed new domestic water lines, sanitary waste lines, vent piping, and floor drains throughout the facility in accordance with plumbing codes and project specifications. Work included rough-in plumbing for dialysis stations, handwashing sinks, janitor sinks, breakroom fixtures, and restroom facilities.
Urban’s also coordinated plumbing connections for dialysis equipment, including water supply, drainage, and any required filtration or treatment system connections. All plumbing installations were carefully coordinated with the building layout, equipment locations, and other trades to ensure proper clearances and functionality. Pressure testing and inspections were completed as required to verify system integrity and compliance with applicable codes.
Throughout the project, Urban’s coordinated closely with the general contractor, equipment suppliers, and other trades to maintain schedule and ensure all plumbing and concrete work was completed in the proper sequence. The completed plumbing and concrete work for the Kenton Dialysis facility provided the essential infrastructure required for the operation of the dialysis clinic, supporting specialized medical equipment, sanitary systems, and daily facility operations while meeting healthcare construction standards and quality requirements.
