The project began with site evaluation and coordination with facility management and equipment suppliers to determine the proper location, piping configuration, electrical requirements, and installation procedures for the new booster pump system. Urban’s reviewed existing plumbing and mechanical systems to ensure compatibility with the new equipment and to minimize disruption to the operating dialysis facility during installation.
Urban’s completed the necessary demolition and removal of existing piping and components where required to accommodate the new booster pump installation. This included draining and isolating sections of the water system, removing outdated components, and preparing the area for new equipment installation. Care was taken to protect surrounding equipment and maintain cleanliness due to the sensitive healthcare environment.
Concrete work was completed as part of the installation to provide a stable housekeeping pad for the booster pump unit. Urban’s formed and poured a concrete equipment pad to the required dimensions and elevation, ensuring a level and durable surface capable of supporting the mechanical equipment and reducing vibration. The pad was properly cured before equipment placement to ensure long-term stability and performance.
Urban’s then installed new water supply piping, valves, fittings, and connections required for the booster pump system. This included connecting the pump to the existing domestic water supply, discharge piping, and any required bypass lines or isolation valves for maintenance purposes. All plumbing work was installed in accordance with applicable plumbing codes and project specifications.
Electrical work associated with the booster pump installation was also coordinated and completed, including power supply to the pump, disconnects, and any required control wiring.
